Serving Adults in Criminal Matters in British Columbia and the Yukon.
Dr. Druhn conducts forensic psychological assessments related to adults involved in criminal proceedings. Forensic psychology is the nexus between psychology and the law. A well trained psychologist in forensic practice is able to provide specialized expertise and opinions that assist the Court in determining complex legal outcomes.
In approaching evaluations, Dr. Druhn takes a thorough and even handed approach with integrity. He looks for convergent findings between interview and file information, often in tandem with forensic testing and other psychological assessments in formulation of his opinion. It is the utilization of such testing that distinguishes psychological from psychiatric practice. To maintain objectivity, when there is divergence in findings, or data that may be contrary to the opinion, he seeks to provide clarity to best serve the Court.
For attorneys, Dr. Druhn is also available to review a psychological/psychiatric report to identify test scoring errors, problematic data analysis, illogical conclusions, adequacy of research support for methods used, and consultation of rebuttal to another clinician’s report.
